Interactive Design Project

As a team of five, we collaborated with the Gothenburg Sports Museum to enhance the visitor experience. Our solution focused on digitizing the Hall of Fame, as we believed the current analog layout—with numerous p hoto frames—was overwhelming for visitors. Digitizing the Hall of Fame allows users to easily find information and access additional resources such as images and videos. This approach also benefits the museum by simplifying updates to athlete pages and adding new entries. The prototype was showcased at a public exhibition through an interactive touchscreen, where visitors actively engaged with the design.
This project began with an exploration of the Gothenburg Sports Museum to identify opportunities for enhancing the user experience through interactive installations. We also engaged with museum stakeholders to better understand their needs and expectations..
We then began sketching and documenting ideas for potential interactive installations. Through team discussions and voting, three concepts were selected for further development. These ideas were refined and shared with stakeholders for feedback and adjustments.
The team decided to move forward with the idea of digitizing the Hall of Fame section of the museum.
We began by creating initial wireframes and storyboards to explore the user flow and layout. This led to the development of a low-fidelity prototype in Figma to visualize and test the concept.
The concept was further developed into a high-fidelity prototype using Figma. It was then implemented on a touchscreen display to simulate how it would function in its intended real-world placement within the museum.
The final prototype was showcased at a public exhibition hosted by Chalmers University, where visitors and stakeholders interacted with the product. The feedback gathered provided valuable insights to inform its potential future development and refinement.
